How To Make A Watermark

This is my first tutorial, so don't say I didn't warn you. Anyway, I used GIMP for this post. GIMP can be downloaded for free at this site, and is free forever and always. Enjoy the tutorial!

Step 1:
Create a new picture. I suggest 640x400.

Step 2:
With the text tool, bump up the size to about 100. Use a fancy font if you want.

Step 3:
Type in your name. It can be your full name, initials, anything you want.

Step 4:
Back into the text tool, bring the size down to about 60.

Step 5:
Type in your website's URL, or a social media account.

Step 6:
Now switch to the paint tool. Bring the size down to 4.

Step 7:
Make a dot to the left and in between your name and web address.

Step 8:
Hold "shift" down to make a straight line. Drag it across, and a bit over the edge of your link.

Step 9:
After you finish, let go and make any needed adjustments.

Step 10:
You're finished! Remove the white layer to make your watermark transparent, and stick it onto any of your photos or art pieces.

I hope you learned something from my tutorial. It takes a little over a minute to make the watermark once you get the hang of using GIMP. Have a nice day!
